Blood for Dracula (1974) – Italy – AKA “Andy Warhol’s Dracula” Dracula gets his assistant to take him to Italy where he hopes to find plenty of virgin blood. He arrives in a family with four virgins, but discovers they are lying about it. Stars Udo Kier.
Captain Kronos: Vampire Hunter – A master swordsman who is a former soldier and his hunchback assistant travel the countryside ridding villages of their vampire problems.
Dracula (1974) – Made for TV movie starring Jack Palance. Follows Bram Stoker’s novel. Dracula relates his experiences fighting the Turks in this movie tying in to Vlad Tepis of Hungary. More victims in this movie than the Nosferatu versions. Also, Lucy is the fiancee and first victim.
Evil of Dracula – Japan “Chi o Suu Bara” – Shipwrecked in the 1600s in Japan, Dracula was forced to spit on a cross and wander alone in the desert. Upon finding himself bleeding, he was so thirsty he drank the blood and acquired a taste for it.
Grave of the Vampire – Kroft, a legendary vampire, returns from the sleep and attacks a couple in a graveyard. He rapes the woman who later bears a child. The child only feeds on blood from his mother’s breast.
Legend of the 7 Golden Vampires, The – Van Helsing (Peter Cushing) goes to a Chinese university to enlist help in tracking down their vampire legends. Agreeing to help a young woman, he winds up in a tiny mountain village fighting a horde of vampires led by Dracula, who moved there using the body of a Chinaman.
Sexcula – Countess Dracula seduces men before she kills them. The movie says it’s set in 1869, but she answers the phone in one scene.
Vampire’s Night Orgy – Spain “La Orgía Nocturna de los Vampiros” AKA “Grave Desires” – A busload of tourists stops in to visit a small European town. What they don’t know is that the town is completely inhabited by vampires.

Erotikill – A less explicit version of Jess Franco’s “Female Vampire”
Female Vampire (1975) – French “La Comtesse Noire” – Jess Franco directed – Lina Romay. A beautiful mute countess vampire lures men to her hotel room and their deaths.
Lips of Blood – France “Lèvres de Sang” A young man sees a picture of some castle ruins from his childhood and sets out to find the place again with the help of four young female vampires. Movie has a dreamy atmosphere.
Mary, Mary, Bloody Mary – An artist falls in love with her victims before she dispatches them. Her father pursues her through the countryside to try and convince her to slow down on the killings.
Satan’s Black Wedding – A man travels to attend his sister’s funeral and find out why she killed herself, but discovers that she is a vampire and has returned to get revenge on her family. The vampires also have prominent lower fangs.
Strange Love of the Vampires – Spain “El Extraño Amor de los Vampiros” – AKA “Night of the Walking Dead“ In a 19th century village, a young female aristocrat with a terminal illness is drawn into strange underground vampire rituals after she is jilted by her lover.
Vampires of Vogel – Spain – “Las Alegres Vampiras de Vögel” – The town of Vogel sits in the shadow of Dracula’s castle ruins. Two stranded young girls take shelter in the remote castle where the Count is delighted to receive them.
Vampyres – AKA “Daughters of Dracula” – A pair of lesbian vampires cause accidents on the road passing their castle and stage a fatality after they drain the victim of blood. They like one man, so they feed sparingly to keep him alive. The nosy wife of a couple camped in a trailer near the castle becomes a victim when she snoops around the maze of passageways inside.
Young Dracula – Italian. “Il Cav. Costante Nicosia Demonico, Ovvero: Dracula in Brianza” A boorish, snob, wealthy factory owner encounters Count Dragalescu on a Romanian business trip and comes back a vampire.
1977
Bloodlust – A deaf and dumb accountant with a traumatic past collects puppets and mutilates female bodies in a mortuary. He starts the killing after his secret love dies.
Martin (1977) – A George A. Romero film. A young man who believes himself to be a vampire goes to live with a hostile cousin in the country where he starts to satisfy his craving for blood.
Nightmare in Blood – Amid protests, a horror-fest opens in San Francisco with a popular horror actor as the main attraction. The problem is, he is a real vampire who feeds on the victims that his henchmen kill in the bowels of the theater venue.
1978
Doctor Dracula – An evil hypnotist vampire puts a beautiful woman under his spell. Stars John Carradine.
Dracula Sucks – AKA “Dracula’s Bride“, “Lust at first Bite” Stars the biggest names in the adult industry at the time including Seka, John Holmes, Annette Haven, Serena, John Leslie, and Jamie Gillis. Loosely follows the Stoker novel. Though the sex scenes are relatively short, they are frequent enough to leave little time for plot development.
Vampire Hookers – John Carradine plays and aged vampire with a bevy of vampire beauties who catch their victims through prostitution and lure the occasional john back to the lair for him.
Zoltan, Hound of Dracula – AKA “Dracula’s Dog” After Russian soldiers awaken Dracula’s doberman and one of Dracula’s servants, the pair leave for America to find Dracula’s last living descendant.
1979
Dracula (1979) – Features Lawrence Olivier as Dr. Van Helsing and Donald Pleasence as Dr. Seward. Picks up the Stoker story beginning with the shipwreck in England and Dracula leaving the ship in the form of a wolf. First movie to emphasize the women’s suffrage theme in Bram Stoker’s novel. Dracula has hypnotic and supernatural powers.
Dracula Blows His Cool – German “Graf Dracula (beisst jetzt) in Oberbayern” (Count Dracula (now bites) in Southern Bavaria) A direct descendant of Dracula who enjoys the nightlife of disco clubs works as a provocative fashion photographer, but all the flesh awakens his vampire tendencies.
Fascination – A thief running from vigilantes seeks refuge in a castle owned by two young women who turn out to be members of a female vampire cult that uses sex to lure men to their doom. Stars Brigitte Lahaie.
Nosferatu the Vampire – German “Nosferatu: Phantom der Nacht” – Remake, shot in Bavaria simultaneously in German and English. Klaus Kinski plays Dracula and Lucy is played by French star Isabelle Adjani (Female lead in Ishtar). Dracula is referred to as the lord of the rats.
Salem’s Lot (1979) – A novelist and a young horror fan travel to a small New England town and discover that vampires are taking over. Based on the Stephen King novel and starring David Soul from Starsky and Hutch.
Thirst (1979) – A descendant of Elizabeth Bathory is kidnapped by a cult that claim to be supermen because they drink blood. They honor her and try to force her to join them using hypnotic and psychological manipulation. Volunteer donors are kept in stalls with tubes sucking the blood from their necks.
1980
Dracula Exotica – A smuggler is bitten by Dracula as she stabs him while sailing to America. She becomes his vampire secretary but she secretly creates another vampire to help defeat him. Stars Ron Jeremy, Samantha Fox, Vanessa Del Rio, and Jamie Gillis.
Dynasty of Dracula – Mexican – “La Dinastia de Dracula” – An ancient vampire is revived by a witch and they try to take over a small town. The vampires can turn into bats and dogs and teleport from place to place.
Last Rites (1980) – AKA “Dracula’s Last Rites” – A small town doctor, mortician, and a local sheriff conspire together to stage accidents so they can have their evening blood drinking parties without raising suspicions.
Mama Dracula – A female vampire must bathe in the blood of virgins to stay alive, but she has problems finding one. Stars Louise Fletcher from “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest“.

The Night of the Werewolf – Spain “El Retorno del Hombre Lobo” – A curious student brings Countess Elizabeth Bathory back to life who then makes other vampires and plots to take over the world. A werewolf is the only thing standing in her way. Stars Paul Naschy.
1982
Desire, the Vampire – AKA “I Desire” – David Naughton plays a coroner’s assistent / law student who notices bite marks on a couple of corpses that come into the morgue. He decides to investigate and try and find the vampire responsible. He is hindered several times by a defrocked priest played by Brad Dourif.
Ferat Vampire – Czechoslovakia “Upír z Feratu” – A nurse gets a job as a race driver for Ferat Motors. The doctors she worked with think the car is running on human blood instead of gasoline.
Vampirismus – A very rare Italian TV movie directed by Giulio Questi, based on the very famous E.T.A. Hoffman novel.
1983
The Hunger – An Egyptian vampire, Lady Miriam, subsists on the blood of her lovers. In return for donating their blood, they stay young. Stars Catherine Deneuve and David Bowie.
Revenge in the House of Usher – Based on the Edgar Allen Poe novel and directed by Jess Franco. A man goes to the castle of Usher, his former professor, to find him paranoid and about to die. He also discovers that Usher has been trying to revive his dead daughter for years with the blood of captured women.
1984
A Polish Vampire in Burbank – A shy, goofy vampire lives with his father and sister in a tucked away castle and lives off of the leftovers they bring him in a doggy bag. When his dad forces him to go out and get his own food, he falls in love with his first intended victim.
1985
Fright Night – The original. When a teenage boy discovers that a vampire has moved in next door, nobody believes him. He turns to TV vampire hunter, Peter Vincent (Roddy McDowell), for help. Vincent doesn’t believe in real vampires but humors the boy until he accidentally sees that the suspected vampire has no reflection in a mirror.
1986
Lust Never Dies – Chinese movie. A group of people set out to a remote river bank for a glamour photo shoot when they run into vampires and ghosts. The vampires turn into noblemen and escort the women around town. In their vampire state, they hop since, according to oriental reasoning, dead bodies cannot move their legs.
Necropolis (1986) – Reincarnated “Satanic Witch” from New Amsterdam, circa 1600’s comes back to revive her cult members by sucking the life force out of people.
The Seven Vampires – Brazil “As Sete Vampiras” – A botanist orders a carnivorous plant from Africa and puts it in his club. It eats some people and turns others into vampires.
Vamp (1986) – Fraternity brothers go to a strip club to look for easy girls and a good time. Instead, they find the club is overrun with vampires.
1987
Central Park Drifter – AKA “Graveyard Shift” – A vampire taxi driver meets and romances a young woman and turns her into a vampire. Her estranged husband becomes jealous and tries to kill both of them.
Demon Queen – A demon that presents itself in a beautiful ladies body, she needs to feed on human flesh; so she begins a creative killing spree with some very impressive gore. Written and directed by Donald Farmer.
Near Dark – A newly created vampire risks everything in order to prevent his sister from meeting the same fate. Stars Lance Henrikson and Bill Paxton.
A Return to Salem’s Lot – A man and his son take a vacation to a quiet rural town where they discover it is populated with vampires. Stars Law and Order’s Michael Moriarty and features Tara Reid.
Sexandroide – French avant garde. In three vignettes, the third of which features a vampire coming out of his coffin to attack a mourning woman who then becomes a slutty vampire.
Vampire’s Breakfast – Hong Kong – “Ling Chen Wan Can” – A fat ballsy journalist trying to get the story on a vampire killing people through “over-bleeding” upsets the police; but it turns out that he thwarts the vampire.
1988
Dracula’s Widow – The owner of a Hollywood wax museum receives six crates with Romanian antiques instead of the five he was expecting. Dracula’s widow is sleeping in the sixth crate. Stars Sylvia Kristel (the original Emmanuelle).
Robo Vampire – Hong Kong – When a narcotics agent is killed, he is turned into an android robo-agent and sent on a dangerous mission to fight a drug lord who it turns out has hopping Chinese vampires.
Teen Vamp – A horny high schooler has a crush on a cute blonde who thinks he’s a joke. He hires a prostitute that attacks him and turns him into a vampire. Afterward, he has the strength and charisma to please the ladies.
Vampire at Midnight – A detective tries to catch a vampire who kills his victims and leaves them drained of blood.
Vampire in Venice – Italy “Nosferatu a Venezia” – Stars Klaus Kinski, Donald Pleasence, and Christopher Plummer. Klaus Kinski plays a vampire that hunts beautiful women in Venice. He is ultimately looking for a bride, but he attacks gypsies as well. He defeats priests, is impervious to crosses, and is quicker and stronger than those who hunt him.
1989
Dance of the Damned – A vampire follows his instincts to a strip joint where he focuses in on one of the performers. He picks her for his meal because she is contemplating suicide, but he wants to get to know her first.
The Jitters – Canada – A merciless Chinatown gang goes on nightly rampages of theft and destruction. Merchant Frank Lee has no way of fighting back – until he’s undead. He comes back as a Chinese style vampire to avenge his own death.
The Vampire is Still Alive – AKA “Counter Destroyer” – Hong Kong – A screenwriter oves to a remote old house to get some work done. While there she is terrorized by a zombie looking spirit, a taoist priest and his hopping vampire slaves and a fat vampire kid.
Wohi Bhayanak Raat – India – Basically an Indian remake of “Fright Night”.
1990
Def by Temptation – When a country boy is invited by his best friend to New York City, he finds a bar where a temptress vampire picks up men, takes them home and drains their blood with a ceremonial knife. All of his friends wind up as her victims. Stars Samuel Jackson.
Doctor Vampire – Hong Kong – “Jiang Shi Yi Sheng” – A doctor on business in England, unintentionally visit a brothel to find help after his car breaks down. The brothel is, unfortunately, a lair for vampires who trap men for their blood, but one falls for the doctor.
I Bought a Vampire Motorcycle – When a motorbike gang kills an occultist, the evil spirit he was summoning inhabits a damaged bike. The bike is then bought and restored, but reveals its true nature when it tries to exact vengeance on the gang that killed its original owner, and anyone else who gets in its way.
Rockula – A young vampire lost his lady love many centuries ago to a pirate with a wooden leg and did nothing to save her. His punishment is having to watch her die over and over as she is reincarnated through the ages. She is always killed by a pirate with a peg leg, but this time, as a rock star, he plans on saving her.
Vampire Cop – A cop resembling a young Arnold Schwarzennegger kills vampires at night along with taking out the bad guys. Melissa Moore plays a TV reporter who has nightmares about her boyfriend (the cop) biting her. In the end, he saves her from another vampire.
1991
Blood Ties (1991) – When a teenager’s parents are killed in Texas, he travels to Long Beach, CA to find his aristocratic relatives. While there, he learns that he is a vampire. But the vampire hunters track him from his home in Texas in hopes of killing off the rest of his family. Calling themselves “Carpathians”, One of the vampires, a reporter who has the DA for a girlfriend, tries unsuccessfully to settle things in a civil manner.
New York Vampire – AKA “Undying Love” – A young man who’s depressed about his failed suicide attempt, winds up going to a friends party anyway. Although his friends seem indifferent to his plight, he meets a model who sheds a different light on death.
Subspecies – The evil vampire Radu returns to his fathers castle after years in exile to murder him. He steals the Blood-stone which is said to bleed the blood of all the saints and guarantees a vampire long life.
Vampire’s Embrace – A guy falls for and marries a blond who doesn’t eat, doesn’t go out in the day, and lives by a cemetery. After they’re married he learns her story of how she became a vampire. He sympathizes and decides to stay with her.
1992
Bloodlust (1992) – Australia – AKA “The Lion, The Leopard, and the Wolf” – Three vampires wander the streets of Melbourn killing and partying. When they decide to pull a heist, they attract a lot of attention forcing them to flee underground.
The Divine Enforcer – A monsignor recruits a new priest to his parish in Los Angeles where the newcomer proceeds to turn vigilante and take on various thugs and criminals that rule the neighborhoods. One of the thugs is a vampire, not in the traditional sense.
Dominion – Todd Sheets – The Dominion is a battalion of vampiric undead! Led by their pint-sized lord vampire, the bloodsuckers stage a climactic rock concert to bring back their demonic leader…and everyone’s invited!
Ejacula La Vampira – AKA “Drakolara” – Stars Alessandro Del Mar, Patricia Kennedy and Ron Jeremy. A household of vampires entertain guests in an old castle. Ron Jeremy plays a hunchback ghoul in one of his best performances.
Innocent Blood – A seductive vampire attacks a mob boss, turning him into a super bad vampire. She then joins with a police officer to bring him down.
Tale of a Vampire – Set in contemporary London, England, stars Suzanna Hamilton and Julian Sands, two heartbroken strangers whose paths cross inside a large, archaic library where she works and he frequents. She looks just like his long lost vampire lover. Only in PAL format.
To Sleep with a Vampire – A vampire kidnaps a stripper because he wants to learn what the day is like. She agrees to teach him, but in order to try and escape his lightning quick reflexes and super-human strength she decides to seduce him.
1993
City of the Vampires – Violent and bloody with very little dialogue. A young man contemplates suicide as he remembers his girlfriend being attacked by a vampire. Armed with his pistol, he goes looking for her in a now deserted city but runs into a group of vampires.
Darkness – The Vampire Version – A small group of friends with a handheld video camera document their battle with hordes of vampires as they try to survive from day to day. The main vampire buries himself in the day and lives on.
Dracula Rising – Roger Corman produced, artsy film about Dracula obsessing over his long lost love, but he meets her again 500 years later, so he lays everything on the line to go after her.
Midnight Kiss – A powerful pretty boy vampire prowls the streets at night killing people. He bites a beautiful policewoman who he intends to keep as a mistress, but she turns into a vampire super-cop.

Dracula by Mario Salieri – A vampire and his lover are tortured, killed and buried by the inquisition. Centuries later they are accidentally revived in 1880′s London. Stars Ron Jeremy.
Interview with the Vampire – A vampire happens into a writer and tells him his life story of the loss, betrayal and pain he’s experienced over the centuries. All star cast includes Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise, Kirsten Dunst, Christian Slater, Antonio Banderas, and Thandie Newton.
Jugular Wine: A Vampire Odyssey – An anthropologist is bitten by a vampire on a ship. He then travels the country looking for answers as he slowly turns into a vampire.
Subspecies III: Bloodlust – Picks up where Subspecies 2 ends. Michelle, fighting for her sister’s safety tries to get Radu to tell her how he can be killed by pretending to be interested in becoming a vampire. Her sister has also involved other help.
Vampires and other Stereotypes – After two guys trying to be heroes save a business, they discover a gate to hell and stand guard to take care of anything that comes through. Not mainly about vampires, but they come into the picture toward the end of the movie.
1995
The Addiction – A PHD student in NYC is bitten by a vampire. Although she fights what she has become through most of the movie, she’s no longer afraid to walk the city streets alone. One of Lily Taylor’s early movies also has Christopher Walkin. Available in PAL format.
Demonsoul – A young woman is haunted by nightmares nearly every night. A psychiatrist discovers that she is a reincarnated vampire and works to bring the vampire out.
Dracula: Dead and Loving It – The Mel Brooks version of Dracula. Follows the Bram Stoker story for the most part. Hilarious scenes throughout the movie.

Habit – A young man who has just lost his girlfriend in New York falls for a wild, oversexed girl. As she draws him away from his friends, she becomes more possessive and when he tries to get way he learns she is a vampire.
How to Slay a Vampire – Two brothers discover a Vampire while cleaning out their basement. They try to kill it, but none of the traditional methods work.
